Loïc Delvaulx – Belgium

Director & Camera Operator

Loïc Delvaulx is an independent director, camera operator, and photographer based in Brussels.

Since his first photography book "Down and Out" giving an authorial view on the issues of housing and social exclusion, Loïc has been capturing stories and bringing them to life, chronicling souls and lives.

He regularly collaborates with television channels (FR2, RTBF, National Geographic Channel, ARTE) for a variety of programmes and reporting assignments.

Numerous sectors (associations, NGOs, private industry, and marketing) have used his services to develop their communication tools.

He also created the heavily publicised "Stop child marriages" campaign, with Belgian actress Marie Gillain, for Plan Belgium.

Loïc Delvaulx shares his directing and shooting experience in a workshop sponsored by institutions such as WBI and BBC Media Action.

Cyril Pomes - France

Cartoonist / Cartoon Reporter

Cyril Pomès obtains a National Diploma of Plastic Arts in Comic Strip at E.E.S.I Angoulême in 2003.

Since then he has published five comics albums, including "A la lettre près" by Albin Michel in 2005, "Chemins de fer" in 2009, "Sortie de route" in 2011, and finally "Le printemps des Arabes" and "La dame de Damas ", in collaboration with Jean-Pierre Filiu, Futuropolis Editions, in 2013 and 2015.

He regularly works as a cartoon reporter for the Revue Dessinée (n ° 6, "Esquisse d’un meutrier", n ° 11, "Le ventre de Paris", n ° 13 "Calais, terminus"), Arte (3 cartoon reports to date) and Amnesty International (monthly bulletin of December 2016).

Pomès participated in numerous collective albums, got commissions for illustration and animation. He produced several notebooks during his trips to Asia and the Middle East.

Benoit Closon and Nicolas Rome are freelance webdeveloppers, based in Brussels, Belgium.

 

Peter Wieben - American

Story teller, painter, illustrations, writer

Peter Wieben is an artist, writer, and graphic designer living in Amsterdam. His work focuses on revolution, poverty, migration and heavy industry. His first book It's Time to Move was a collaboration with Dominic Nahr about the Egyptian Revolution. Mother Machine, his second book, was about sentient machines and ship-breaking yards in India. Currently he is completing a project about the life of a child thief.
In his design practice he has worked on campaigns to inspire democratic change, support working women in the Middle East, and to understand and counter violent extremism. His work has been shown at the Tribeca Film Festival and Glastonbury Music festival, and presented at the United Nations.

Marc Hofer - German

Video editor, Videographer, Drone Pilot

Marc Hofer is a filmmaker has worked over nine years in Africa and the Middle East for clients such as Al Jazeera, Channel 4 News, PBS, CNN, amongst others. He was nominated for a CINE award 2016 for his work in the Democratic Republic of Congo for PBS called ‘Congo Hope’. Since 2014 Marc has been specialising as a drone operator working on stories for NBC and UNHCR pushing the visual image in the field. Marc has worked as a camera-operator and editor on documentaries, video installations and short films.

Sam Wolson - American

VR creator

Sam Wolson is an award winning documentary VR director and producer. He grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and currently based in Berlin, Germany. He is a regular contributor to the New York Times Daily 360. He was the co-director on the film We Who Remain which had its world premier at the South By Southwest festival in Austin Texas in 2017 and won best VR film at the Seattle Film festival in 2017. The film, a 15 minute immersive VR documentary weaves together the lives of four people – a student, a rebel soldier, a journalist, and a mother living in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan. It's the first character driven immersive documentary shot in an active conflict zone. The film was a co-production Nuba Reports, Emblematic Group, The New York Times, AJ+ and ARTE.

Andres Peyrot - Swiss-Panamanian

Film director, Cinematographer, Editor

Andres is a Swiss-Panamanian film director, cinematographer and editor.
He works on documentaries that explore cultural, political and social topics for channels such as Cine+, AB and Arte. In 2010, he shot Walk Away Renee (dir. Jonathan Caouette), a feature-length documentary that premiered during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and follows Caouette’s cross-country journey with his mother who suffers from schizoaffective disorder. Andres has edited numerous films including Jonas Mekas, I am not a Filmmaker, presented at the FID Marseille in 2012 and Broken Hopes, Oslo’s Legacy an interactive web doc directed by Cedric Gerbehaye and recipient of the best web-documentary award by the Agence Française de Développement in 2013. That same year, he co-directed El Cine Enmascarado, a documentary about the golden years of Mexican Lucha Libre cinema, broadcast on Cine +. In 2015, he co-created La Santa Muerte, a documentary web-series for France Télévision, about the underground Mexican community that worships the Saint of Death.
Andres is a graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and also works on fiction narrative films and theatre productions.
